Are you ready for a fabulous week cruising the breathtaking waters of Alaska?  Please join Ten Palms Travel on an amazing, seven-night cruise onboard the Norwegian Bliss from Seattle.   The Bliss is PEFECT for the Alaskan market and a wonderful ship for all ages.  On board, you will find six complimentary dining venues, thirteen specialty dining venues, a 180 degree Observation lounge with floor to ceiling windows for stunning views of all of the beauty that Alaska holds.  This ship is home to The Waterfront: a quarter mile oceanfront promenade of bars, restaurants, and spacious outdoor seating areas.  There are plenty of activities for the young and young at heart including laser tag, the first go-cart track at sea, Ocean Loops water slides, arcades, and of course, the casino.   This ship is also home to the award winning Broadway production of Jersey Boys!   Brace yourself for even more oohhs and ahhhs when we get onboard!

The Itinerary 

---

Day 1 - Arrive Seattle and Transfer to the Ship

Our cruise begins in Seattle.  Norwegian offers buy one get one free airfare throughout multiple times of the year which provides you an excellent value to get your vacation started!  You can choose to arrive in Seattle up to two days early to explore this amazing city and we can arrange all of your pre-cruise travel reservations for a completely seamless and easy vacation.  After arrival at the Seattle airport, you will make you way to your beautiful home for the next week: The Norwegian Bliss!  

Day 2 - Cruising

Over the next seven days, we will explore five amazing ports of call, travel through Endicott Arm Fjord with front row views of Dawes Glacier, and our first day will be one fabulous day at sea.   Today, you will begin your adventure enjoying and exploring this massive floating resort.  Enjoy endless activities and adventures that you would never dream possible on a ship!  

Day 3 - Sitka 

Sitka, Alaska is the first stop on our adventure.  Here, you can visit the Raptor Wildlife Center, go on a Sea Otter and Wildlife Quest, hike through the Tongass Rainforest, or just visit the quaint little town in port.  

Day 4 - Juneau (am) / Endicott Arm / Dawes Glacier 

Today is a big day!  We will spend the morning in Juneau where Mendenhall Glacier and whale watching are the most popular experiences, but you might also wish to pan for gold and enjoy an authentic outdoor salmon bake as well.   After boarding the ship, we will make our journey through Endicott Arm Fjord which marks the southern edge of Fords Terror Wilderness area. As we drift through its 30-mile-long stretch, we will be awed by the surrounding granite cliffs, mountain valleys and dozens of gushing waterfalls. Drifting icebergs, deep blue waters and a spectacular tidewater glacier only add to this natural spectacle’s appeal.  Our journey through the fjord ends with a front-row view of Dawes Glacier. Standing over 600 feet tall and a half-mile wide, this very active icecap is known for its spectacular calving displays which produce huge, chunky icebergs that float in area waters.

Day 5 - Icy Strait Point 

Whale watching, kayaking, and the world's longest zipline can be found on the banks of Icy Strait Point.  ​

Day 6 - Ketchikan 

Today, you can enjoy more wildlife exploration via kayak, zodiac, or boat.  Other options include exploring Saxman Native Village, viewing a live lumberjack show and enjoying a crab feast!  ​

Day 7 - Victoria, British Columbia 

We will only have a few evening hours in this port, but it will be enough time to take a Victoria highlights tour or visit Butchart Gardens.  

Day 8 - Return to Seattle / Fly Home

Upon arriving back in Seattle, we will make our way to the airport for our flights home, or you can opt to extend your vacation for a few days with a fun trip extension in Seattle.

Your final cruise rate will depend on the amenity package that you choose.  Every cruise booked into our group will include the following:

**Please note that rates are based on double occupancy in a balcony cabin.  We are able to book any cabin on the ship for you at a discounted rate if you would prefer an interior cabin, ocean view cabin, or you may wish to upgrade to a spa balcony, Club Level balcony, or the Haven for the ultimate luxury cruise experience.  Contact us for more information on different cabin types.  
**Amenities apply to the first two guests in each cabin.  Should you wish to have three or more people in one room, you can purchase additional beverage and dining packages at an added fee.

The Extras

After booking your cruise and paying your deposit, we will provide you with all the information you will need to log into your account and begin adding extras if you wish!   Upgraded wifi, shore excursions, and reservations for select onboard activities can be purchased directly through your cruise planning website after we have you booked.  

Airfare and Promotions offered by Norwegian 

NCL will often offer promotions such as Buy One Get One Free airfare and Cruise First certificates (basically free money) which ARE combinable with our group rates.  When you request a customized quote, we will be sure to include all possible offers at that time.  

Travel Insurance 

Travel insurance is an optional, but recommended purchase.  A full quote will be provided to you once you have decided on all of your trip details.  

Pre/Post Cruise Packages

 We are delighted to help you create a wonderful pre/post cruise package if you'd like to extend your vacation.  We can advise you of your best options and book your airfare from your home city.  Likewise, we are also able to book a simple pre/night hotel stay or a more elaborate Seattle vacation and transportation between the airport / hotel / cruise port.  Some guests even choose to stay in Seattle or travel up to Vancouver by train  and book another cruise for the following week for a back to back cruise adventure!  
**If  booking your own pre-travel arrangements, please plan to arrive in Seattle NO LATER than 1:00pm on  Sept. 9th.  Departure flights should not be scheduled before 11:00am on Sept. 16th.

FAQ's

What is a Ten Palms Travel Friends and Family Cruise? 

A Ten Palms Friends and Family Cruise is simply a cruise that employees of Ten Palms Travel will be traveling on with some of our personal friends and family.  We have secured special discounted rates and perks that anyone joining us may also enjoy.  We like to invite all of our clients and their friends and family to join as well.  The more the merrier!   There is absolutely no obligation to attend any group events, dine with anyone in the group, or hang out with anyone you don't want to.  It's just nice to cruise with friendly faces and have the opportunity to make new friends.  Many first time cruisers also enjoy the security in knowing that a certified travel advisor will be onboard with them should they run into any questions or issues.  

Is it safe to Cruise? What about Covid?  

At the current time, there are no longer any vaccination requirements or testing requirements to cruise to Alaska.   While we could never promise anyone a 100%  safe travel experience, we feel that cruising is one of the safest experiences out there due to the stringent protocols.  

are there any hidden costs?

We enjoy booking with Norwegian because it is very inclusive and you have very few out of pocket costs.  Additional expenses that you should prepare for include the following:  transportation to/from Seattle (again we can help you with this to make your quote even more inclusive), transportation between the airport and ship (included with NCL's air) or parking at the port, shore excursions (these can range in price to fairly inexpensive to VERY expensive - depending on the experience you would like to book), some onboard activities like the go-carts and laser tag have a nominal fee, onboard shopping or shopping in ports, casino and arcade.  If you choose to opt for amenity package A, you will be charged for any additional alcoholic beverages and soda as well as specialty dining should you wish to include that.  If you plan to drink at all, Amenity package B is the better value.   

Can I invite other people?

Of course!  The more the merrier!  Please feel free to share this site with your friends and family.  

I don't want a Balcony room.  Do you have other options available?  

Of course!  We can book you in any cabin type on the ship: downgrade to an interior cabin or a studio cabin if you are traveling solo, or upgrade to the Haven.  We can provide you with rates on any room type you wish.  Most guests do prefer a balcony due to the beauty of the Alaskan itinerary, but we can find you something else if you prefer!  

what are the Cancellation penalties?

If you purchase a Cruise First certificate (the best value as it essentially gives you a significant discount), they are non-refundable.  If you need to cancel your cruise, the certificate will go back on your account for booking a future cruise and they are good for three years.  If you choose to pay with credit card instead, you forgo the additional savings, but your deposit is refundable until your final payment date.  After final payment, the cruise cancellation penalties will increase the closer you get to the sail date which will be outlined in detail on your final invoice.
