Hey there, sun-seekers and ocean lovers!  Welcome to our 2024 Ten Palms Travel Friends and Family Cruise, where your dream of pristine beaches and azure waters is just a cruise away. Imagine this: you wake up to the soft lull of waves, the sun gently beckoning you onto your private balcony. A warm, salty breeze brushes your face as you sip your freshly brewed coffee, gazing out at the boundless ocean. Today, you’re not just anyone – you’re a sea-bound adventurer, and the legendary pink sands of Bermuda are calling your name.

We will be setting sail on the NCL Joy from New York City on June 2, 2024 to Bermuda!  This cruise is a bit different than a regular cruise vacation because you will be immersed in the Bermudian culture for two nights and three full days.  Our cruise ship will serve as our all-inclusive hotel during our stay and you can come and go as you wish while we are docked.   In Bermuda, a treasure trove of experiences await: snorkel over coral reefs teeming with iridescent fish, explore historic forts with stories etched in their walls, or simply relax on the the most fabulous beaches, letting the waves whisper their secrets to your heart..

On board the Joy, we will have a full three days at sea to indulge in sumptuous cuisine, dance under the stars to live music, and revel in top-tier entertainment.   During our Ten Palms Travel Friends and Family Cruise, we ensure that your journey to Bermuda is as enchanting as the island itself. The Itinerary 

---

Day 1 - Arrive New York City and Transfer to the Ship

Our cruise begins in the Big Apple.  Many guests opt to arrive a couple of days early to enjoy the city before embarking on the cruise.   We can arrange all of your pre-cruise travel reservations for a completely seamless and easy vacation.  Should you choose to arrive the day of the cruise, you will be transferred directly to your beautiful home for the next week: The Norwegian Joy!  

Day 2 - Cruising

Our first day will be one fabulous day at sea.   Today, you will begin your adventure enjoying and exploring this massive floating resort.  You will find endless activities and adventures that you would never dream possible on a ship!  

Day 3 - Cruising

By now your should be feeling relaxed and amazed.  Spend today on the high sea doing anything you wish: find a quiet space on deck to enjoy your new novel,  unleash your inner adrenaline junkie and experience a variety of water slides that propel you out over the ocean, hit the casino, learn a new dance move, or enjoy the on board go-carts (an NCL exclusive).  There is plenty to do - or not do - on your second day at sea.  

Day 4 - Bermuda 

This morning, we will arrive in Bermuda at 8:00am.  If you wish to opt in for an extra special day, you are welcome to sign up for our Ten Palms Travel private catamaran excursion which will include a private sail, lunch, beverages, snorkeling, and beach time.  If you aren't a boat/beach person, you will have the full day to explore the island as you wish.  Hop off the ship and explore on your own, take a ship excursion,  play a round of golf.  The day is yours to spend as you wish without any worries of making it back to the ship at any specific time.  During the summer, the city of Hamilton hosts a street fair on Wednesday nights with food, shopping, cultural entertainment and activities for the kids.   Our ship serves as our "hotel' for the next two nights so you can get off an on as many times as you'd like.  You'll still have all of the meals and drinks available on the ship, but also still get to explore this beautiful island in depth.  Bonus!!  

Day 5 - Bermuda

We have another full day in Bermuda today.  There is so much to explore from the gorgeous pink sand beaches, cultural towns, caves, historical forts, and more.  NCL also has a complimentary ferry that takes you to the other side of the island so you can explore on your own. With zero time constraints today, you can feel free to get lost in "island time." ​

Day 6 - Bermuda / Set Sail for New York

This morning, you will have several more hours in Bermuda for one last excursion before we set sail at 3pm for New York City.  

Day 7 - Day at Sea

The last day of the cruise will be one final day at sea to participate in any activities that you may have missed or you wish to do again.  Enjoy one more relaxing day on your floating resort.  

Day 8 - Return to New York / Fly Home

Upon arriving back in New York, we will make our way to the airport for our flights home, or you can opt to extend your vacation for a few days with a fun trip extension in the Big Apple.

The Inclusions and Pricing

Your final cruise rate will depend on the amenity package that you choose.  Every cruise booked into our group will include the following:

• Seven night cruise in a balcony stateroom with all complimentary dining options and onboard entertainment
• All port charges and taxes
• Prepaid Staff Gratuities
• $100 onboard credit
• Welcome aboard gift 
• Amenity Package A or B (your choice) as described below

**Please note that rates are based on double occupancy in a balcony cabin.  We are able to book any cabin on the ship for you at a discounted rate if you would prefer an interior cabin, ocean view cabin, or you may wish to upgrade to a spa balcony, Club Level balcony, or the Haven for the ultimate luxury cruise experience.  Contact us for more information on different cabin types.  
**Amenities apply to the first two guests in each cabin.  Should you wish to have three or more people in one room, you can purchase additional beverage and dining packages at an added fee.  Third and fourth guests can be added to the same room at a discounted rate.

The Extras

After booking your cruise and paying your deposit, we will provide you with all the information you will need to log into your account and begin adding extras if you wish!   Upgraded wifi, shore excursions, and reservations for select onboard activities can be purchased directly through your cruise planning website after we have you booked.  

Airfare and Promotions offered by Norwegian 

NCL will often offer promotions such as Buy One Get One Free airfare and Cruise First certificates (basically free money) which ARE combinable with our group rates.  When you request a customized quote, we will be sure to include all possible offers at that time.  

Travel Insurance 

Travel insurance is an optional, but recommended purchase.  A full quote will be provided to you once you have decided on all of your trip details.  

Pre/Post Cruise Packages

 We are delighted to help you create a wonderful pre/post cruise package if you'd like to extend your vacation.  We can advise you of your best options and book your airfare from your home city.  Likewise, we are also able to book a simple pre/night hotel stay or a more elaborate New York vacation and transportation between the airport / hotel / cruise port.  
**If  booking your own pre-travel arrangements, please plan to arrive in New York City NO LATER than 1:00pm on  June 2nd.  Departure flights should be scheduled AFTER 12:00pm on June 9th.

FAQ's

What is a Ten Palms Travel Friends and Family Cruise? 

A Ten Palms Friends and Family Cruise is simply a cruise that employees of Ten Palms Travel will be traveling on with some of our personal friends and family.  We have secured special discounted rates and perks that anyone joining us may also enjoy.  We like to invite all of our clients and their friends and family to join as well.  The more the merrier!   There is absolutely no obligation to attend any group events, dine with anyone in the group, or hang out with anyone you don't want to.  It's just nice to cruise with friendly faces and have the opportunity to make new friends.  Many first time cruisers also enjoy the security in knowing that a certified travel advisor will be onboard with them should they run into any questions or issues.  

Is it safe to Cruise? What about Covid?  Do I have to be vaccinated?

At the current time, there are no longer any vaccination requirements or testing requirements to cruise.   Mask wearing is optional.  Everything is currently back to pre-Covid protocols.  

are there any hidden costs?

We enjoy booking with Norwegian because it is very inclusive and you have very few out of pocket costs.  Additional expenses that you should prepare for include the following:  transportation to/from New York City (again we can help you with this to make your quote even more inclusive), transportation between the airport and ship (included with NCL's air), shore excursions, some onboard activities like the go-carts and laser tag have a nominal fee, onboard shopping or shopping in ports, casino and arcade.  If you choose to opt for amenity package A, you will be charged for any additional alcoholic beverages and soda as well as specialty dining should you wish to include that.  If you plan to drink at all, Amenity package B is the better value.   

Can I invite other people?

Of course!  The more the merrier!  Please feel free to share this site with your friends and family.  

I don't want a Balcony room.  Do you have other options available?  

Of course!  We can book you in any cabin type on the ship: downgrade to an interior cabin or a studio cabin if you are traveling solo, or upgrade to the Haven.  We can provide you with rates on any room type you wish.  Most guests do prefer a balcony due to the beauty of the Alaskan itinerary, but we can find you something else if you prefer!  

what are the Cancellation penalties?

If you purchase a Cruise First certificate (the best value, as it essentially gives you a significant discount), they are non-refundable.  If you need to cancel your cruise, the certificate will go back on your account for booking a future cruise and they are good for three years.  If you choose to pay the deposit without the Cruise First discount, you forgo the additional savings, but your deposit is refundable until your final payment date.  After final payment, the cruise cancellation penalties will increase the closer you get to the sail date which will be outlined in detail on your final invoice.
